Getting Started

Adafruit Playground is a wonderful and safe place to share your interests with Adafruit's vibrant community of makers and doers. Have a cool project you are working on? Have a bit of code that you think others will find useful? Want to show off your electronics workbench? You have come to the right place.

The goal of Adafruit Playground is to make it as simple as possible to share your work. On the Adafruit Playground users can create Notes. A note is a single-page space where you can document your topic using Adafruit's easy-to-use editor. Notes are like Guides on the Adafruit Learning System but guides are high-fidelity content curated and maintained by Adafuit. Notes are whatever you want them to be. Have fun and be kind.

Project Winter — open-source real-life Jarvis, built in a Saskatoon garage

I'm a mechanic in Saskatoon, Canada, building Project Winter: an open-source, real-life Jarvis-style AI assistant. The heart of it is custom voice-satellite hardware — small wall-mounted boxes with an ESP32-S3, microphone and speaker, always listening for a 'Hey Winter' wake word, no app to open.

The current satellite board is a 4-layer custom PCB (black solder mask) with USB-C, INMP441 mic and MAX98357A amp breakouts — the design is validated and heading to fabrication. Everything is being documented openly: schematics, PCB files, 3D-printable case, firmware.

Full build logs live on the Hackaday project page:

    https://hackaday.io/project/206840-project-winter-a-real-life-jarvis

    The project site is https://projectwinter.net

Work in progress — the first satellites haven't been fabricated yet, so this is a build-in-progress log, not a finished product.
